Boyd Memorial Hospital is proud to announce a new partnership with the Roodhouse Fire Department that will bring faster emergency response times to residents in the North Greene County.
Boyd serves Greene County and the surrounding areas, with the hospital and primary EMS station located in Carrollton. Over time, Boyd EMS identified a growing need for additional ambulance coverage closer to the northern part of the county. Approximately 75% of Boyd EMS ambulance runs are in the White Hall and Roodhouse areas, and response times to those communities could approach 15-20 minutes depending on the day and call volume.
Recognizing the importance of quicker access to emergency care, the Roodhouse Fire Department stepped forward opening its building to Boyd, allowing a Boyd ambulance and EMS crew to be stationed in Roodhouse full time.
This expansion will significantly improve emergency response capabilities for the North Greene community and help ensure patients receive care more quickly when every second matters.
