COVID-19 PPE

March 21, 2020 | Posted by Community Relations

Due to the newest updates concerning the COVID-19 pandemic, those requesting emergency services will be screened by 911 dispatch for positive COVID-19 symptoms via phone. Please be sure to answer these questions fully and accurately.

EMS personnel will now be wearing additional PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as face shields, goggles, face masks, isolation gowns, etc. Upon arrival to the hospital, patients will notice that staff will also be wearing PPE. Do not ...be alarmed, it is for the health and safety of the healthcare workers and the patient to prevent the spread of the virus. As a reminder, you may have come in contact with an infected person that didn’t yet have symptoms. In addition to the above, all staff and visitors will now have their temperature taken upon entering the hospital. No one besides a patient will be allowed into the hospital if they have a temperature at or above 100° F.

At this time, there are no confirmed cases in Greene County. Please follow the new state mandated “Shelter in Place” guidelines to keep yourself and others safe!
